About the event

If you’ve ever admired intricate beadwork and wondered how it’s done, this beginner‑friendly workshop is the perfect place to start. Taught by Vermont bead artist Marissa Masker of Orb Weaver Beadwork, this class introduces you to the foundational stitches, techniques, and materials used in bead embroidery. You’ll learn how to build dimension, outline shapes, and create smooth, polished beadwork while completing a beautiful pin or patch.

Choose from 2–3 original designs created by Marissa, then follow her step‑by‑step guidance as you stitch your piece from start to finish. You’ll explore bead selection, thread tension, backing materials, finishing techniques, and how to transform your beadwork into a wearable or displayable keepsake. This is a relaxed, creative class designed for all skill levels — no prior experience needed.
