About the event

If you’ve been meaning to learn how to sew—or you’ve had a sewing machine tucked away for years—this class is the perfect place to start. In this beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll learn essential sewing skills while making two practical, stylish projects: a handmade tote bag and a simple hat (if time allows).

We’ll walk through the basics step by step, including how to thread and operate a sewing machine, cut fabric, sew straight seams, and finish your pieces with confidence. Along the way, you’ll pick up tips and techniques that will set you up for future sewing success.

Whether you’re starting from scratch or just need a refresher, this is a relaxed, supportive environment where you can learn at your own pace.
