When Vermont.com visited our studio, we didn’t know quite what to expect. What we hoped, more than anything, was that they would feel what we feel every day inside these walls — the spark that happens when someone sits down, picks up a material, and realizes they can make something beautiful.

Their feature captured that feeling so tenderly that reading it felt like a gift. We are deeply honored and grateful.

Why This Feature Means So Much to Us

Gathered & Made was not built to be a traditional craft studio. It was built to be a place where people rediscover parts of themselves they didn’t know they’d lost — curiosity, play, confidence, calm, pride.

Success, to us, isn’t measured in ticket sales or full classes. Success is watching someone’s shoulders drop as they settle into creating.

Success is seeing a teenager forget their phone for two hours because they’re so immersed in making.

Success is hearing someone say, “I didn’t think I could do this… but look what I made.”

Success is witnessing beauty take shape in someone’s hands — and watching their face change as they realize they made it.

That’s the heart of this studio. And Vermont.com saw it.

What Vermont.com Noticed Inside Our Studio

When Adam Louis visited Gathered & Made, he didn’t just walk through the rooms — he sat with us, asked thoughtful questions, and listened closely as we shared the stories behind the studio. Through our conversation, he began to understand the heart of what we’re trying to build here.

He noticed the calm, welcoming aesthetic of the space. He felt the energy that rises when people settle in and begin creating. He understood how intentional every part of the studio is — from the drop‑in crafting tables to the lounge, the party room, and the paint‑splattered Splatter Zone — each designed to help people feel comfortable, inspired, and capable.

As we talked, we shared the moments that matter most to us: teens staying longer than planned because they’re so absorbed in their projects; adults laughing and letting go in the Splatter Zone; kids proudly carrying out their finished crafts; visitors discovering new materials and new confidence; local artists teaching and inspiring; families making memories together through creativity.

Adam recognized the joy, the calm, the color, the community — all the things that make Gathered & Made feel alive.

What meant the most to us was how clearly they understood our mission: creativity isn’t just an activity — it’s a way back to yourself.
